Michael Lenahen, who has a master’s degree in architecture and more than 25 years of homebuilding experience, created Aurora Custom Homes in 1997 with the goal of providing buyers with a truly “custom” building experience. Since its inception, Aurora has constructed an average of four to five luxurious homes annually, ranging in size from 4,000 square feet to 15,000 square feet, and ranging in price from $650,000 to $2.4 million. By maintaining a low volume of homes under construction, Michael is able to lend his expertise to each phase of the building process, beginning early in the plan design stages.

At Aurora, that process begins with a profile of each client’s lifestyle and an analysis of how every room in the home will be used. The custom home is then designed specifically to those requirements, making every Aurora custom home unique and a reflection of the taste and budget of the client.

The company offers complete design/build services, which can include site selection, preliminary design assistance, the creation of specifications based on the client’s budget, and coordination between architects, designers, engineers and building officials.

Michael Lenahen personally oversees all aspects of the homebuilding experience through his interaction with a talented team of project managers and office personnel who maintain customer satisfaction as their highest priority. Through his direct involvement, Michael builds a unique one-on-one relationship with each of his clients, based on confidence and trust, and the secure feeling that they have their own “personal” builder working for them.
